Last week, ECCC had the privilege of partnering with Glenwood Climbing Guides, the Roaring Fork Climbers Coalition, and a seventh grade school group from Aspen for a powerful day of climbing, learning, and giving back — right here in Wolcott.
This collaborative program combined hands-on climbing with lessons in leadership, communication, and Leave No Trace ethics. The students didn’t just challenge themselves on the rock — they also rolled up their sleeves and helped build and improve trails and belay areas, leaving a lasting, positive impact on the space.
We’re incredibly grateful to our partners for making this day possible — and especially to the students, whose hard work, curiosity, and effort made it all worthwhile. These kinds of days are what ECCC is all about: empowering people through climbing while cultivating respect for the land and for each other.
