At ECCC, we believe climbing can be a powerful tool for connection, education, and community building—both here in Colorado and across the globe. That’s why we were honored to support the Himalayan Quests Foundation with a donation of climbing equipment to help further their grassroots work in rural Nepal.
Himalayan Quests Foundation was created to manage and expand the growing number of social projects initiated by Himalayan Quests, beginning with free health camps in 2013. Since then, they’ve become a respected and deeply rooted presence in the region—offering support in the areas of health, education, and outdoor access to some of Nepal’s most remote mountain communities.
This kind of collaboration could only be possible through the vision and dedication of local climbing leaders like Jonny and Alina Love, whose connection to the Himalayan Quests team helped bring this partnership to life.
The gear donation will directly support the work of Amrit Ale, Executive Director of the Khumbu Climbing Center and a longtime outdoor educator. Amrit brings decades of mountaineering, guiding, and international experience to his community work in Nepal, and we’re proud to help equip his efforts.
We’re honored to partner with organizations like Himalayan Quests Foundation who understand that the outdoors can serve as a platform for positive, lasting change. As always, we remain committed to using climbing as a bridge—not just between people and mountains, but between cultures, communities, and causes.
