Stewardship in Action

Climbers don’t just use the land—we care for it. ECCC organizes regular cleanups to protect the health of our crags and trails, and to show that the climbing community values and respects these shared spaces.

Trash, erosion, and overuse are growing problems at popular areas. Through community-led efforts, we remove litter, dismantle fire rings, restore social trails, and improve infrastructure like signage and WAG bag stations. These cleanups are more than just a feel-good gesture—they’re a vital part of keeping access open and maintaining positive relationships with land managers.

Thanks to our volunteers, grant funding, and member support, we’re able to make meaningful improvements that help preserve climbing for the long haul.
