Liability and Process
To borrow equipment from the ECCC Gear Library, all participants must sign a liability waiver acknowledging the inherent risks of rock climbing. Renters are required to be familiar with proper equipment inspection and will receive a Gear Inspection Instructional Handout at the time of rental. By signing the waiver, renters accept full responsibility for inspecting the equipment before use and agree to return all items by the specified due date. If the equipment is returned damaged beyond normal wear and tear, or is not returned at all, the renter will be charged the full market value or repair costs, as applicable. Failure to meet these requirements may result in additional fees or suspension of future rental privileges.
